Stop Creditor’s Track by Filing for Bankruptcy

Many people at this moment are filing for bankruptcy due to the tough and turbulent economic climate. One of the biggest benefits of bankruptcy is stopping aggressive lenders from their tracks. Once this case is filed, creditors must stop calling you. This will prevent creditors from garnishing in their debtor’s salary, repossessions, foreclosures and contact. It is a possibility that after filing bankruptcy, you can get an automatic stay.

There are some exceptions automatic stay like police power or marital obligations which includes child and domestic support. To some filing for bankruptcy and getting automatic stay is their instant relief and opportunity to evaluate their financial status without the threats of creditors.

When filing is done and creditors continue to call you or take any other action, you can immediately contact your bankruptcy lawyer. If creditors violate the sanction of automatic stay granted after you filed for bankruptcy, they may face legal consequences. But if the creditors are unaware you went to filing forbankruptcy, you can tell them.
